Django Actress Who Accused Cop Of Racism Ordered To Apologize

Daniele Watts, the “Django Unchained” actress who accused an LAPD officer of racism after being detained for public lewdness, was in the end ordered by a judge to apologize.

Watts, who appeared in court, pled no contest to disturbing the peace. In exchange for her plea, the more serious criminal charges were dropped. The actress was then ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and write an apology letter to Sgt. Parker and his two partners.

Watts and her boyfriend were in a car outside the CBS Studios in the San Fernando Valley last September when people in a nearby office building called cops to complain they were having relations in the car. When LAPD Sgt. Jim Parker asked Watts for her ID…. she claimed she was targeted because she’s an African American with a white boyfriend and went public with her outrage. When she refused to cooperate she was handcuffed. h/t tmz

It’s vindication for Sgt. Parker, who was chastised by his bosses for disputing Watts’ initial racism claims in the press.
