Paula Joslyn & Dan Colombo ID’d As Victims In Sunday Pulaski IN Double-Fatal Motorcycle Crash

PULASKI COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Paulette Joslyn, of Florida, and Daniel Colombo of Indiana, have been identified as the victims in a Sunday double-fatal motorcycle crash in Pulaski County, Indiana.

Joslyn, 63, and Colombo, 59, were both killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Pulaski County on Sunday evening.

According to reports, Colombo was operating a motorcycle with Joslyn as his passenger, on CR 550 South, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway.

Both riders, brother and sister, were pronouncd dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

MO Road Worker Preston Brayfield ID’d As Victim In Saturday Night Fatal AR I-555 Crash

POINSETT COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Preston Caine Brayfield of Kansas City, Missouri, has been identified as the road worker killed by a vehicle in Poinsett County, Arkansas Saturday night.

Brayfield, 22, was killed Saturday night in an Interstate 555 vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision near Tyronza.

According to emerging reports, Brayfield was working on the side of I-555, when for unknown reasons, a Chevrolet Impala crossed centerlines and into divider barrels where the victim was working. The vehicle then rolled over before coming to a rest in a field around 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

The unidentified Impala driver suffered unknown injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Preston was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.

Floyd Mayweather Uncle Trainer Roger Mayweather Dead At 58

LAS VEGAS, NV. (THECOUNT) — Floyd Mayweather‘s uncle, boxing trainer, Roger Mayweather, has died. He was 58.

Floyd Mayweather announced Roger’s death in a statement on Tuesday saying he had been ill with diabetes and other long-term health issues.

“My uncle was one of the most important people in my life inside and outside of the ring,” Mayweather said. “Roger was a great champion and one of the best trainers in boxing. Unfortunately, his health was failing him for several years and now he can finally rest in peace. Roger meant the world to me, my father Floyd Sr., my uncle Jeff, our whole family, everyone in and around the Mayweather Boxing Gym and the entire boxing world.”

It’s been a tough few weeks for the Mayweather family as, Josie Harris, the mother of three of Mayweather’s children, was found dead last week in her car in front of her house in Valencia, California.

Roger Mayweather was a colorful figure in the boxing world, winning titles but gaining more notoriety later as a trainer for his nephew. He was in the corner for some of Floyd Mayweather’s biggest fights.

Arrest Made After Man In Hazmat Suit Sprays Las Vegas Walmart Shoppers Sunday

LAS VEGAS, NV. (THECOUNT) — Las Vegas Metro Police say, Aldo Gonzalez was dressed in a head-to-toe hazmat suit, when he walked into a Las Vegas Walmart store Sunday night and began spraying an unknown clear liquid substance in aisles and on shelves.

Gonzalez, 23, of Las Vegas, and an underage friend whose name was not made public because he is a minor, were arrested Tuesday accused of committing the unthinkable act, police are calling a “social media stunt.”

Las Vegas police say, officers responded to the Walmart, located near South Rainbow Boulevard and the 215 Beltway, on reports of a suspicious person spraying the substance, they say, some customers eventually came into contact with.

Officials said a voluntary evacuation was conducted after the unknown suspect left the store without further incident.

By the time police arrived, the unknown suspect had departed the store. Witnesses say the man’s license plate was taken down and provided to authorities.

The store is located at, 7200 Arroyo Crossing Pkwy in Las Vegas, NV.

A real Hazmat team was called in and are currently testing the unknown substance.

No one was injured during the incident and the store remains closed for several hours.

IL Woman Susan Phillips Rizor ID’d As Victim In Saturday Tulsa Fatal Jeep Crash

Tulsa, OK. (THECOUNT) — Susan Phillips Rizor, of Benton, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Jeep crash involving a teenage driver in Tulsa, Oklahoma Saturday night.

Rizor, 47, died in a multiple-vehicle collision on I-44 in Tulsa Saturday night.

According to officials, troopers responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash just before 6 p.m. near I-44 and South Union Ave in Tulsa. When they arrived, first responders found Rizor suffering from fatal injuries.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, J. Scott Rizor, 47, was treated at St. Francis Hospital and released, reports FOX23.

The driver and passenger of the first vehicle in the crash, both teenagers from Bristow were not hurt.

No other injuries were reported, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

No one was cited at the scene, however, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Break-In At Las Vegas NV Republican Party Headquarters Overnight ‘Equipment Smashed, Papers Scattered’

The suspect or suspects gained access by shattering a front window.

According to a press release, the office was vandalized, with paper scattered throughout the space, reports 8NewsNow.

NV Woman Diana Jeanne Langlume ID’d As ‘Sledgehammer’ Victim In Fatal Las Vegas Laundromat Attack

LAS VEGAS, NV. (THECOUNT) —Clinton Taylor has been identified as the suspect arrested over bludgeoning death of 72-year-old Las Vegas woman, Diana Jeanne Langlume, announced the Clark County coroner on Thursday.

Langlume was randomly attacked by Taylor, 36, who used a sledgehammer to mercilessly hit the elder with the truncheon-like hammer while outside central Las Vegas Twin Lakes Laundromat on Aug. 29.

Taylor was later located about a quarter mile away still holding the murder weapon. He was covered in Langlume’s blood..

He was arrested and faces one count of open murder with a deadly weapon.

Diana Jeanne Langlume of Las Vegas died due to blunt force trauma to her head and neck, according to the coroner. Her death was ruled as a homicide, reports FOX5.

Las Vegas Metropolitan police were called to the 1000 block of North Rancho Drive near Washington Avenue at about 5 a.m. Langlume called from inside the laundromat and told police there was a man outside with a sledgehammer. Dispatchers heard her scream and the line disconnected.

Taylor is believed to be homeless.

A Las Vegas judge on Aug. 30 deemed Taylor to be a danger to the community and ordered he be held without bail.

Las Vegas #StormArea51 Lawyer Garrett Ogata Arrested Friday In Aston Martin-VS-Toyota DUI Crash

LAS VEGAS, NV. (THECOUNT) — Garrett Ogata, the Las Vegas criminal defense lawyer who promises to represent anyone who gets arrested participating in the upcoming #StormArea51 event, has himself been arrested Friday for DUI in southeast Nevada.

Ogata, 54, also a well known Las Vegas DUI defense attorney, was arrested in an alleged DUI crash Friday. Records reveal it is the attorney third DUI charge, according to court records and Nevada Highway Patrol.

Ogata was arrested Aug. 30 after a crash involving his Aston Martin and a Toyota SUV on eastbound 215 just past the Eastern Avenue exit, according to Fox5LasVegas.

NHP says that around 2:30 a.m., the driver of the Aston Martin, later identified as Ogata, rear-ended the Toyota, causing it to enter the right shoulder and overturn.

Two people in the Toyota were taken to St. Rose Siena Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Ogata was arrested on charges of DUI, failure to decrease speed or use due care and driving without a license.

According to court records, Ogata first faced a DUI charge in 2003. Records indicate he agreed to a lesser charge of leaving the scene of an accident in April 2004. Ogata was arrested on a DUI charge again in April 2016, according to court records. Ogata was sentenced in January 2018, agreeing to go to DUI school and to “stay out of trouble.” Court records indicate he completed DUI school in February 2018.

Ogata’s website indicates he “focuses his practice on DUI defense,” along with criminal defense. His website also has a DUI questionnaire for potential clients and a 39-page document titled “The Ogata DUI Guide,” billed as, “A simple and practical guide to understanding Nevada’s DUI laws and the Criminal Justice System.”

The guide includes explanations of DUI charges, field sobriety tests and trial processes.

A statement on Ogata’s law practice website said, “Our goal, as Las Vegas DUI attorneys, is to get all charges dismissed, an acquittal at trial, or charges reduced to a non-DUI level.”

Ogata’s next court date was set for Oct. 29.

North Las Vegas Police Asst Chief Clinton Ryan Arrested Sunday For DUI ‘Refused Field Sobriety Test’

LAS VEGAS, NV. (THECOUNT) — Clinton Ryan, the assistant chief of the North Las Vegas Police Department, has been identified as the suspect arrested after police responded to reports of an out of control vehicle on US-95 Sunday.

An individual contacted police about 6 p.m Sunday to report a driver moving “in and out of the travel lane.” A responding NHP trooper observed the suspect’s vehicle, a Dodge Ram 3500 truck, weaving in its lane.

Troopers conducted a traffic stop and Ryan was eventually arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Sunday, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

In an email, NHP said at about 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, they were dispatched to a report of a reckless driver on U.S. 95 and Tropicana Avenue.

Ryan was apparently hauling a horse trailer with one horse inside at the time of the incident.

NHP said Ryan refused field sobriety testing and he was transported to Clark County Detention Center.

Ryan was booked for failing to maintain travel lane, open container in the vehicle and driving under the influence, first offense.

NV Man Gregg Owens ID’d As Victim Swept Away While Trying To Save Dogs In San Diego High Surf

SAN DIEGO, CA. (THECOUNT) — Gregg Owens, the Henderson, Nevada, man swept out to sea off Ocean Beach after rescuing his dogs, has died at San Diego, California, area hospital, authorities said Thursday.

Owens and his wife, Maureen, were walking their dogs Wednesday around 2 p.m. near Dog Beach, when the dogs began struggling in the high surf.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said Owens entered into the water and successfully rescued the animals, but was then dragged back into the ocean water by strong currents.

Owens was reportedly swept about 75 yards from shore being slammed into rocks along the way. He was found about 20 minutes later face down and unresponsive.

San Diego Lifeguards rescued Owens and brought him to shore, performing CPR before he was rushed to UC San Diego Medical Center, according to 10news.

The medical examiner said Owens was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit where he was later pronounced dead.

No other details on the victim were officially released.

The dogs survived and are believed to make a full recovery.

A high surf advisory was issued for San Diego County’s coastline from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 p.m. Thursday, bringing large sets and the threat of rip currents to the area’s shores. Continue reading
