NYC, NY. (THECOUNT) — Rapper Kanye West may have discovered the next Eminem, after spotting a homeless man’s talent while walking into a NYC recording studio.
Recently homeless, Nino Blu, was approached by the rapper and asked to “show his stuff,” while standing on a Manhattan street corner.
After hearing the homeless man rap, West invited him inside the posh NYC recording studio.
West stopped dead in his tracks early Saturday morning as he listened to a homeless man rap … and Ye was impressed enough to take the guy into the studio. Ye was clearly impressed, and invited Blu to drop some bars into a mic. Continue reading
Add Kanye West to the ever growing list of men who entered the Kardashian women’s world and promptly crashed and burned. West, like so many before him, has officially melted down and is reportedly receiving treatment in hospital just a day after cancelling his entire Life of Saint Pablo tour.
The rapper was transported to a undisclosed Los Angeles hospital after police responded to calls for a welfare check on Monday afternoon. So far, docs will only say the Fade artist is getting treatment for sleep deprivation and exhaustion, which may be code for drug abuse.
Kim Kardashian West cancelled an appearance at the Angel Ball in New York City this week, which would have been her first public appearance since falling victim to a robbery in Paris. Continue reading
Sources say Kanye West was transported to a LA hospital and is currently “under observation” late Monday after a bizarre series of rants and the abrupt cancellation of his national tour.
The hospital stay followed a week of strange incidents during which the rapper publicly threw shade at Beyoncé and Jay Z and retroactively endorsed President-elect Donald Trump while admitting that he didn’t bother to vote.
A source familiar with the case said Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call about 1:20 p.m. (4:20 p.m. ET). No criminal activity was involved; the decision to hospitalize West was for his own health and safety, the sources said. West’s concert promoter, Live Nation, said earlier in the day that the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour had been called off. No reason was given. The cancellation of West’s tour comes on the heels of a rough week for the rapper, who has made controversial statements and feuds with fellow celebrities a centerpiece of his art and persona. Stacey Dash has been in the news lately for all the wrong reason after accusing BET of perpetuating segregation during a conversation on Fox & Friends.
Dash, who followed and then unfollowed us on Twitter, (see below,) also weighed in on the controversy over the Oscars lack of diversity hashtag #OscarsSoWhite.
“We have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration. If we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards, where you’re only awarded if you’re black,” Dash said during the conversation. BET clapped back at Dash on Twitter, pointing out her time on The Game and asking for their money back for all the times she had been featured on their network. But the trolling didn’t stop there. BET Jams went on to post the music video for MJG‘s “That Girl” video, which featured Dash and which came out in 1997. The video was posted to their Twitter along with the hashtag #NeverForget, which basically makes BET the winner for best trolling game in this feud. h/t thegrio
They’ve also played Kanye West’s “All Falls Down” and Rick Ross’ “Super High,” which also feature Dash, and the videos come with hashtags like “#WeStillLoveYou” and “#YoureOneOfUs” and “#EvenIfYouDontWantToBe.”
