OR Teen Killed In Sunday Rock Creek House Party Shooting Identified As Fermin Alonso-Alonso

BETHANY, OR. (THECOUNT) — A teenager who was shot at a Rock Creek house party and later passed away at the hospital, has been identified as 18-year-old Fermin Alonso-Alonso, according to Washington County deputies.

A GoFundMe was set up for 18-year-old Alonso-Alonso, who is described as a “great kid:”

“Fermin was a great kid that just recently graduated from Glencoe High School. He was passionate about photography and will be greatly missed. Please consider donating to his burial fund to help offset the cost for the family. Any amount will help out and is very much appreciated. Thank you!”

(ORIGINAL STORY) — An 18-year-old was shot and killed in an apparent altercation during a massive house party early Sunday in the Rock Creek area of Washington County, sheriff’s deputies said.

The sheriff’s office responded shortly before 1 a.m. to the reports of gunfire at a Bethany home on Northwest Connett Meadow Court.

Deputies arrived and provided first aid to the man, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.

Investigators learned a suspect had fled the scene moments after the shooting. Several deputies searched the area but were unable to find him. Continue reading

CT Man Ross A. Williamson ID’d As Saturday Ballston Beach MA Drowning Victim

TRURO, MA. (THECOUNT) — Bolton, Connecticut man, Ross A. Williamson, has been identified Sunday as the drowning victim in the area of Ballston Beach in Truro, Massachusetts.

Cape Cod officials say, Williamson, 28, went missing while swimming Saturday afternoon.

Crews started searching near the beach around 2:30 p.m. Officials said the body of Williamson was found Sunday.

Williamson was missing since Saturday afternoon and was recovered on Sunday morning. Continue reading

Tragedy Strikes After MI Boy Scout Buried In Sand Dies At Van Buren State Park

SOUTH HAVEN, MI. (THECOUNT) — A 12-year-old Kalamazoo-area boy scout was killed after being buried in a mound of sand at Van Buren County State Park on Saturday, Sept. 29, a sergeant with South Haven Police Department confirmed Sunday.

Sergeant Mike Knizewski said the South Have PD responded to reports an unresponsive boy around 4:11 p.m., later identified at 12-year-old Gage Wilson of Kalamazoo, after he was found by boy scout troop leaders buried in sand alongside the beach of the state park. Leaders from the troop were attempting life-saving measures upon the response of South Haven PD, Knizewski said, and were later relieved by South Have Area Emergency Services who later called for air-care assistance.

Wilson was airlifted to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo where he was later pronounced dead of injuries suffered in the freak accident.

According to police, an initial investigation determined that Wilson was digging into the side of a dune hill and was accompanied by two other members of the troop. He managed to dig far enough into the side of the hill and crawl into the small space, but the instability of the sandhill caused it to collapse while Wilson was inside.

The two boy scouts who accompanied Wilson did not notice his disappearance for up to 30 minutes, police said. Continue reading

Investigators responded to calls to Bluestone Drive, in Woonsocket, RI, this morning after neighbors said they heard gunshots coming from the area.

Coeur d’Alene ID Man Identified As Victim Shot Dead In WA Vehicle By ‘Homeless Woman’

COLFAX, WA. (THECOUNT) — Kenneth L. Allen of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho has been identified as the victim found shot dead in a Colfax, Washington vehicle Friday night.

Upon arrival on calls of shots fired, authorities located a woman near the side of Airport Rd, in Colfax, WA, swinging a baseball bat and otherwise acting agitated. Police made contact with ‘homeless woman,’ Ashley Myers, 30, who told them she had intentionally shot a man, later identified as Allen, inside a vehicle.

Allen, 55, was located deceased inside a nearby vehicle by Law enforcement.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Cause of death to be determined.

Deputies also discovered a loaded handgun and substantial amounts of methamphetamine outside the vehicle.

Several witnesses driving by the area contacted 911 reporting a woman waving a gun at victim’s vehicle.

Myers will appear in court Monday afternoon. She’s charged with 2nd degree murder and possession of methamphetamine. She’s currently being held on a no-bail order in the Whitman County Jail.

A homeless Colfax woman was arrested Friday night after a dead body was found inside of a vehicle she had reportedly been waving a gun at near Colfax Airport Rd. and State Route 26. Continue reading

DC Men 28 And 27 Shot Dead In Northeast And Southeast Hours Apart Marking 120th, 121st Murder So Far This Year

WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — 28-year-old Southeast man, Henry Isaacs, was fatally shot Saturday night in Southeast Washington around 9:20 Saturday night and 27-year-old Northeast man, Wilbert Brooks, was shot and killed after midnight Sunday morning in Northeast Washington, reports abc7.

The killings mark the city’s 120th and 121st murder so far this year.

D.C. police said officers responding to the 1600 block of U Street, SE around 9:20 p.m. found Isaacs suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Continue reading

Florida Man Arrested After Fatally “Sniper Shoots” Puppy From Balcony Being Walked By Random Woman Below

DAVIE, FL. (THECOUNT) — Miami, Florida man, Johansen Concepcion De La Ros, has been arrested after shooting a puppy being walked by Davie woman, Roshelle Parson, from the balcony of an apartment building.

De La Ros, 19, is accused of killing an 8-month-old puppy using a “sniper style,” weapon fired from a balcony to the street below.

A woman, who the suspect did not know, was walking her dog, “Princess,” along a trail near the Remove term: Centro at Davie by Centro at Davie by ARIUM Apartments, when suddenly the animal shrieked and fell bleeding to the ground bleeding.

KS Man Gabriel Gilmore ID’d As Victim In Sunday Morning Fatal Single-Vehicle Baxter Springs Rollover Crash

BAXTER SPRING, KS. (THECOUNT) — Gabriel Gaither Gilmore, of rural Columbus, has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Highway 166, in Baxter Springs, KS.

Gilmore, 42, was traveling on Highway 166 and Southeast 82nd Terrace, in Baxter Springs, at around 4:00 am on Sunday, when the fatal crash occurred.

The victim was operating a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, when for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a ditch and struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to rollover and the driver to be ejected.

Gilmore was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma as a result of his crash injuries.

September 30, 2018, emergency personnel were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover crash east of Baxter Springs near Southeast 82nd and Highway 166. The preliminary investigation indicates Gabriel Gaither Gilmore, 42, of rural Columbus, was traveling westbound on Highway 166. Continue reading

FBI Takes Over Investigation In Allentown PA Car Bomb Explosion That Caused Multiple Casualties

ALLENTOWN, PA. (THECOUNT) — A car that exploded on West Turner Street in center city Allentown Saturday night, killing multiple people, is now being investigated by the F.B.I.

Multiple victims were injured in the blast. Assistant Chief Gail Struss said authorities do not yet know how many died.

The fiery explosion happened around 9:30 p.m. on the block between Seventh and Eighth streets. Along with city police, investigators from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were on the scene. VA Woman Killed Sunday In Richmond Hit-And-Run Identified As Selena Galvan

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Selena Galvan has been identified as the victim struck and killed in a Sunday morning hit-and-run in Richmond.

Galvan, 30, was struck by a in the vehicle while walking in the 7500 block of Marbrett Drive, in Richmond, Chesterfield County, VA, sometime around 3:20 a.m. The driver fled the scene and is currently being sought by authorities.

Police believe Galvan was walking in the roadway at the time of the fatal crash.
