Just when you think you’ve seen it all, along comes freshly baked socks.
Sandwich chain Subway launched an investigation over why a worker decided to dry her wet socks in one of the franchise’s freshly baked bread ovens.
After drying several articles of clothing, the female sandwich artist proudly posted the snap on Instagram with the hashtags: “#Worcester #floods #wet #gloves #socks”
The nasty image shows a pair of purple socks and dark gloves laid out inside the oven on the heated metal racks used to bake bread.
She wrote: “Socks and gloves drying in the oven at work ha”.
A customer of the Subway in the St John’s area of Worcester, spotted the Instagram post and complained to the corporate office which opened the investigation.
