After all of Kristen Stewart’s luck and success in working in Hollywood, you’d think she’d look a little happier. Here she is at the Elle Style Awards last night, hating every second of it…or does she just ‘look’ like she’s hating it? Wait! Maybe her Twilight co-star Rob Pattinson dumped her? Hey, if she’s over being a famous working actress , I would be glad to take her spot! Call me!

Kate Hudson's Futuristic Mermaid Drape
The Golden Globe Awards drug in like every TV and movie star and even top directors like Martin Scorsese! Legendary actress Sophia Loren even showed up! Even the California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger showed up to present an award. Everyone I can think of that is hot in TV and movies was there! Wait! There were a couple people missing now that I think of it: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie! They were probably busy saving the world again

Chloe Sevigny
I’m not big into the fashion thing, but there is something I did notice at the Golden Globes that I did not care for. ‘Mermaid’ and ‘Drape Curtain’ style gowns! Why were so many female stars dressed in these long-ass gowns with a train dragging behind them, or their dress touching the ground? The rain in Beverly Hills was not helping this style of dress either!
Is this going to be the year of Mermaid and Drapey Gowns?

Ms. Gosselin and the new look
What do you all think of Kate Gosselin’s new haircut? She debuted it today while guest-hosting The View and doesn’t she seemed pleased as punch about it. I know that many, many, many, many (many, many, many) people are happy to see her old look go. I think she looks happy and bright here but maybe a little too Elisabeth Hasselbeck for her own good. Careful, Kate, the last thing you want is to mimic her.

the dynamic duo
LaToya Jackson, well-known for her deep sense of spirituality and reverence for the deceased, commented on how her brother Michael Jackson looked at his funeral. Usmagazine.com reported, “His hair was done beautifully,” La Toya, 53, adds. “His makeup was done beautifully.”
She could’ve at least pulled out a word other than “beautiful” from her grab bag of superficial adjectives. The guy put a lot of effort into his final “look,” so she could’ve commemorated his fashion sense a little more thoroughly with such words as “chicly,” “fiercely” or “wildly.” For instance, she could’ve said, “His hair was done perfectly. He looked really fierce where he lay. His Sergeant Pepper’s jacket matched well with the gold-interior of the coffin.”

Scott is Hot!
Scott Weiland unveiled his new clothing line (conceived of in collaboration with English Laundry) at the legendary Roxy in Hollywood last night. Arriving on the scene fashionably late, Weiland sported a well-tailored, light, three-piece suit and a black eye that he hid from view behind a pair of sunglasses. With much encouragement, he removed his shades and sheepishly revealed a maroon-ish shiner. With only a brief moment of discomfort, everyone glossed over the matter. It’s all just a part of the rock and roll lifestyle and made his entrance far more chic.
Weiland’s band, along with DJ Brent Bolthouse, set the tone for the evening. Bolthouse spun old and new electro, while Scott belted out his good, old, grimy rock vocals with support from his bandmates. Too bad all of Los Angeles is too afraid to get down, because a great dance off could’ve been inspired by the sounds.

Vogue Magazine, the largest Condé Nast publication, is filled with glossy photos of women jumping up in colorful leggings and grand fur coats. It’s a reverance for expensive things and a platform on which editorial staffs can glorify peacock feathers and brightly colored eye shadows. It makes life more interesting. It makes life more vibrant. As a reader, I constantly drool over the unatainable Chanel couture evening gown, so expensive they won’t even list the price, and imagine the day I will marry a duke wealthy enough to buy me 50 of them. Vogue is everything fantasy and awe-inspiring.
The buzzkill consultants at McKinsey, however, recently arrived at Condé Nast on their high horses to squash any sense of whimsy this publisher has established. The McKinsey company, staffed with a bevy hot, young guys, analyzes redundancies across publications, determines which cuts are necessary and steers the magazines (illogically) away from over-consumption. In other words, the consultants express that 5-25% in budget cuts will occur across all of Condé Nast’s magazine. For Vogue, this means a serious scaling back on grand photo shoots and lavish hotel stays for Anna Wintour.
According to a Condé Nast employee interviewed by The New York Observer:

News is calling this “the pop scandal of the century”. Did Lady Gaga steal her look from Irish electro ice-maiden Roisin Murphy?
The former British band Moloko frontwoman and successful solo artist recently told the Irish Central that Lady Gaga knocks off her looks!
“Lady Gaga is just a poor imitation of me. She has copied my style. I met her about a year ago before she got really big and I had no clue that this was all going to happen. She wasn’t wearing shoulder pads at the time, and I was.”

Yahoo news gave Paris’ cherry themed outfit a low blow. They said that her dress was hot, but her fake tan and her plastic earrings bombed. I disagree. I think she looks cute. Do you?

I love Lady Gaga. I really do admire all of her fashion trends and creativity. She always gets me back in the spirit of ‘wigging out’ and having a good time with fashion. We love vampire anything here on ThecounT.com!
I think she’s either getting into the Halloween spirit a little early, or she’s hoping Twilight’s Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) will take notice. Watch out Bella (Kristen Stewart)!
