Missing FL Pregnant Teen Anastasia Gilley Found Dead Wednesday AL Man Marquis McCloud Arrested Murder - TheCount.com

HENRY COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Anastasia Gilley, of Greenwood, Florida, was found dead in the early hours of Wednesday in Henry County, Alabama, after going missing on May 3rd. Marquis McCloud was arrested and charged in the teen’s murder.

McCloud, 33, was charged in Alabama with Capital Murder during Kidnapping First Degree after authorities say he shot the teen multiple times in the back in Headland, Alabama.

Information gathered through interviews and other investigative techniques led law enforcement to various locations in Henry and Jackson Counties, reports wtvy.

The cause of death was confirmed to be foul play according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, family and friends of Gilley pleaded with the public to provide any information on her whereabouts to help law enforcement with the search.

McCloud has been in custody since earlier this week and has been uncooperative throughout this entire investigation.

This is a large, multi-state investigation, and is ongoing, but a suspect is in custody and is not a threat to the public.
