FL Man Steven Winters ID'd As Victim In Tuesday Fatal Mount Dora Motorcycle Crash - TheCount.com

MOUNT DORA, FL. (THECOUNT) — Steven Mark Winters Jr., of, Tavares, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Tuesday in Mount Dora.

Winters, 38, was killed in a motorcycle-versus-vehicle collision Tuesday in the area of Mount Dora.

According to officials, Winters was operating a motorcycle, when another driver turned in front of him at an intersection southeast of Old Highway 441 and Highway 441 on Tuesday.

Clermont van driver, Daniel Meeks, 55, was traveling northbound on 441 in a van when he made a turn in front of Winters’ motorcycle.

Winters collided with Meeks.

Meeks sustained no injuries, reports DailyCommercial.

Winters was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Charges are pending against Meeks.

The crash remains under investigation.
