FORT HANCOCK, TX. (THECOUNT) — Manuel Galindo Jr, Fire Chief of the Fort Hancock Fire Department, in Hudspeth County, Texas, has died in an on-duty crash Wednesday night.
Galindo, 71, was killed in a rollover crash Wednesday night while operating a fire department truck.

According to the Texas Highway Patrol, the chief was operating a fire truck on State Highway 20, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control and rolled over.
Galindo was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
Galindo was pronounced dead at the scene.
