VT Man Mike Luurtsema ID'd As Victim In Friday Fatal Springfield Single-Vehicle Crash - TheCount.com

SPRINGFIELD, VT. (THECOUNT) — Michael Luurtsema, of Springfield, Vermont, has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 Friday, according to Saturday reports.

“Mike” Luurtsema, 61, was killed in an I-91 crash near Springfield Friday afternoon.

According to officials, Luurtsema was operating a vehicle on I-91, when for reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Friday around 2 p.m.

The vehicle then struck several trees before coming to a rest.

Luurtsema was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

VSP said the roads were icy at the time of the crash, reports MyNBC5.
