IN Man Nathan Chaney ID’d As Victim In Wednesday Night Fatal Auburn Motorcycle Crash

DEKALB COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Nathan Linn Chaney, of LaOtto, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Wednesday night in DeKalb County.

Chaney, 29, was killed in a single-motorcycle crash near Auburn Wednesday night.

According to reports, Chaney was operating a motorcycle in the 5000 block of County Road 23, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8 p.m. Wednesday. The bike then made contact with a substantial tree.

Chaney was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
