Sixteen K-Pop fans attending a concert in Seongnam, South Korea, died after the metal grate flooring they were standing on collapsed, and now the man who was in charge of safety measures for the event has committed suicide.
The unnamed man was found dead of an apparent suicide after jumping from a 10-story building. He had been questioned by police regarding the incident a short time earlier. A note was later found, “I am sorry for the dead victims… Please take a good care of my children.”
The dead and injured fans plummeted down a 60-foot shaft that led to an underground parking structure.
