Steven Tyler of rock band Aerosmith, slipped off stage and broke his shoulder and received 20 stitches in his head, but only after thunderstorms delayed the start of their Sturgis S.D. performance.
A source speaking to ThecounT.com familiar with concert sound systems said, “It is very likely lightning may have hit that building, which would explain why all those fuses blew at the same time.” It was blown fuses that delayed the musical portion of the Aerosmith concert causing Tyler, in an effort to ‘cover’ for the silence to dance wildly, eventually falling off the stage.
Tyler made a statement today thanking the local police department and others who assisted him after his bone-breaking fall.
