LDS Influencer Chandler ‘Chuck’ Hendry ID’d As Victim In Friday Lehi Fatal Vehicle Crash

LEHI, UT. (THECOUNT) — Chandler Hendry, 27, also fondly known as “Chuck,” a social media influencer and founder of the Restored Truth podcast, died Friday after a three-vehicle crash in Lehi, according to police. Hendry had previously served as a full-time missionary for the LDS Church.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:25 a.m. at the intersection of Timpanogos Highway and Morning Vista Road, Lehi police spokesperson Jeanteil Livingston said.

According to Livingston, witnesses reported that Hendry ran a red light and struck two other vehicles. The occupants of those vehicles were not injured.

The collision remains under investigation. Livingston said Hendry was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Hendry was transported to a local hospital following the collision, where he was pronounced deceased.

Hendry was the founder of Restored Truth, an online platform and podcast focused on interfaith dialogue, scripture, Christian history and the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, according to the podcast’s YouTube material.

He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was described as an online apologist for the faith. His Restored Truth platform featured content addressing Latter-day Saint theology, scripture and church history while engaging in discussions with people of other faith traditions.

The crash was the sole fatality among those involved, with police saying the occupants of the other two vehicles were not injured.

Investigators have not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding the collision. The Lehi Police Department continues to investigate.

Lehi is located in Utah County, approximately 30 miles south of Salt Lake City and within the greater Salt Lake City metropolitan area.
