LAKE COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Tayveona Edwards, of University Park, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday morning shooting in Lake County.
Edwards, 20, was fatally shot Sunday morning in Lansing.
According to reports, Edwards was found suffering from apparent gunshot injuries in the 18000 block of Violet Ave in Lansing Sunday morning after police responded to a call of shots fired.
Edwards was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead at around 10 a.m. of gunshot wounds.
No suspect or motive information was provided by officials as of Sunday evening.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
