IL Woman Tayveona Edwards ID’d As Victim In Sunday Lansing Fatal Shooting

LAKE COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Tayveona Edwards, of University Park, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday morning shooting in Lake County.

Edwards, 20, was fatally shot Sunday morning in Lansing.

According to reports, Edwards was found suffering from apparent gunshot injuries in the 18000 block of Violet Ave in Lansing Sunday morning after police responded to a call of shots fired.

Edwards was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead at around 10 a.m. of gunshot wounds.

No suspect or motive information was provided by officials as of Sunday evening.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.

IN Woman Lisa Marie York ID’d As Victim Fatally Shot In Head In Lansing IL LA Fitness Parking Lot Shooting

LANSING, IL. (THECOUNT) — Lisa Marie York, of Hobart, Indiana has been identified as the victim gunned down in a busy Lansing, Illinois parking lot Tuesday evening.

Another man was injured in the shooting, police and coroner’s reports revealed Wednesday.

York, 41, was fatally shot in the head, the Lake County coroner reported.

Officers received a call for shots fired at 6:07 p.m., according to Lansing police. When they arrived, they discovered two victims in the parking lot at 2500 Bernice Road.

York was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Franciscan Health Hammond after the shooting incident near the intersection of 173rd Street and Torrence Avenue in Lansing, reports NWITimes.

The second victim, a man, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he remained in stable condition Wednesday afternoon, police said. The identity of the male victim was not released Wednesday.

The Lansing Police Department is working with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force on the investigation.

MI Man Stabbed To Death Thursday At Lansing Riverfront Apts Identified As Todd Allen

LANSING, MI. (THECOUNT) — Todd William Allen, of Lansing, Michigan, has been identified as the man stabbed to death in a domestic dispute, according to the Lansing Police Department.

Allen, 52, was stabbed Thursday, January 24, around 2:45 a.m. at the Riverfront Apartments, located on North Cedar Street, in Lansing, MI. A female victim was also injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment of stab wounds.

Police say that a fight likely led up to the deadly stabbing.

Upon arrival, they located a 53-year-old woman and a 52-year-old male in the apartment. The man had a stab wound and was given emergency treatment, however, he died a short time later, reports WILX.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple stab injuries.

Police say there is no outstanding threat to the public.

The incident appears to be domestic related.

The investigation is ongoing.

A Lansing, Mich., firefighter is dead after a hit-and-run driver deliberately swerved into him as he collected money for charity.

Dennis Rodeman, 35, was participating in an annual fundraising campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association when he was intentionally struck and killed Wednesday.
