‘Not My Baby!’ KY Mother IDs Damien Kirkpatrick As Saturday Taylorsville Lake Drowning Victim

SPENCER COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Louisville, Kentucky teen, Damien Kirkpatrick, has been identified as the drowning victim at a Spencer County lake on Saturday night.

Kirkpatrick, 17, was visiting Taylorsville Lake in Mount Eden, Kentucky, when the accidental drowning occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Divers with the Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District located Kirkpatrick in 30 to 35 feet of water, reports WLKY.

Kirkpatrick was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of an accidental drowning.

This is the second drowning at Taylorsville Lake this year.

No further details were provided by officials.
