Breonna Taylor ‘Protest Leader’ Travis Nagdy Found Shot Dead Monday In Louisville

JEFFERSON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Hamza “Travis” Nagdy has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting in Jefferson County Monday.

Nagdy, 21, was found shot dead in Louisville Monday morning.

According to reports, Nagdy was found suffering from fatal gunshot injuries in the 2100 block of Crittenden Drive in Louisville around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

Nagdy was transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot wounds.

Nagdy was known as the Jefferson Square Park “protest leader” for those gathering to demand for justice for police-involved shooting victim, Breonna Taylor.

The cause of the fatal incident remains under investigation.

KY Man Daniel Logsdon ID’d As Pedestrian In Friday Night Louisville Fatal Hit-And-Run

JEFFERSON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Ray Logsdon II, of Louisville, Kentucky, has been identified as the pedestrian in a deadly Friday night hit-and-run in Jefferson County.

Logsdon, 28, was killed near Louisville after he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle.

According to reports, Logsdon was on-foot in the area of his workplace, the Taco Bell in the 5400 of New Cut Road in Louisville, when he was struck by an SUV that then fled the scene around 8 p.m. Friday.

Logsdon was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Officers later located the involved SUV “abandoned in a parking lot a short distance away” from the deadly incident, according to police.

KY Man Doug Radford ID’d As Victim In Saturday Night Fatal Louisville Crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Douglas Earl Radford, of Louisville, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night vehicle crash in Jefferson County.

Radford, 58, was killed Saturday night in a multi-vehicle crash near his Louisville home.

According to reports, Radford was operating a vehicle on Poplar Level Road near East Indian Trail, when it was involved in a multi-vehicle collision around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Radford was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Louisville KY Jefferson Mall On Lockdown Saturday On Reports Of Shooting

JEFFERSON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — The entrances of Jefferson Mall have been shuttered as police respond to reports of shots fired.

Around 11 a.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of Outer Loop on reports of a shooting.

Officers discovered at least one gunshot victim.

Details on that victim’s condition have not been released.

KY Man Jeremy Marr ID’d As Suspect Who Died Tuesday During Glasgow Police Arrest

GLASGOW, KY. (THECOUNT) — Jeremy Scott Marr, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, has been identified as the male suspect who died while being taken into custody by Glasgow police Tuesday night.

Marr, 35, died while being arrested by Glasgow officials on Tuesday night outside a residence.

According to police, officers responded to a “burglary in progress” call on Cleveland Avenue in Glasgow. When they arrived, Marr was observed outside the residence around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. At some point, Marr reportedly experienced a “medical emergency.”

Marr was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

A cause of death was not provided as of Wednesday morning.

Dr. Alexandra Gerassimides Louisville KY Mayor Greg Fischer Wife Tests Positive For Coronavirus

LOUISVILLE, KY. (THECOUNT) — Dr. Alexandra Gerassimides, the wife of Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, has contracted coronavirus, according to her husband Wednesday.

Gerassimides, 61, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and likely contracted the illness after attending a March 7 fundraiser at the Speed Art Museum, says Fischer.

Fischer, who also attended that event, previously said he tested negative but remains in a self-quarantine at home. He plans to extend that to March 31. Fischer said Gerassimides didn’t feel well for about a day before she was tested. “She’s doing fine,” Fischer said of his wife. Additionally, Fischer announced the creation of the One Louisville Global 19 Response Fund, a fund designed to allow families struggling during the pandemic to stay in their homes, access transportation and pay financial burdens, reports WDRB.

Fischer said that as of Wednesday afternoon, the fund had raised more than $3.6 million from partners such as the Metro United Way and the Humana Foundation.

Cops Surround Home Of KY Coronavirus Patient Refusing To ‘Self-Quarantine’

NELSON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — A Kentucky coronavirus patient who checked himself out of the hospital against medical advice, is now under a “forced isolation” at his Nelson County home after refusing to quarantine himself.

In an effort to prevent the man from spreading the virus, at least 20 officials have surrounded his house to keep him in place.

The unidentified 53-year-old man refused to quarantine himself after testing positive for Covid-19, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said.

Nelson County officials “forced an isolation” on the man, one of the first 20 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the state, reports FOX59.

“It’s a step I hoped that I’d never have to take,” Beshear said in a conference on Saturday. “But I can’t allow one person who we know has this virus to refuse to protect their neighbors.”

Beshear didn’t share then how the government had forced the unnamed man to stay in his home.

Nelson County Judge Executive Dean Watts told CNN affiliate WDRB the measure was necessary to keep the community safe.

“This is about us, not about ‘I,’” Watts said. “So quarantine is a must. If we have to, we’ll do it by force.”

KY Man Chris Overley ID’d As Victim In Sunday Fatal Falmouth Single-Vehicle Crash

FALMOUTH, KY. (THECOUNT) — Christopher William Overley, of Falmouth, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Pendleton County Sunday morning.

Overley, 36, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Falmouth on Sunday morning.

According to officials, Overley was operating a Ford Focus on U.S. 27 intersects around 9:30 a.m., when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a culvert before making contact with an embankment.

Overley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

KY Woman Joanne Tooley Arrested Thursday In Murder Of Tompkinsville BF Murrel Pruitt

TOMPKINSVILLE, KY. (THECOUNT) — Joanne Tooley has been identified as the suspect arrested Thursday in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Tompkinsville, Kentucky man, Murrel Pruitt.

Tooley, 56, was taken into custody in the fatal stabbing of 64-year-old Pruitt during an apparent domestic dispute on West Carmen Street.

According to the Tompkinsville Police Department, officers responded to a call of a stabbing around 3 a.m. in the 100 block of West Carmen Street in Tompkinsville.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Pruitt, of Tompkinsville, lying on the floor in a pool of blood while suffering from apparent stab wounds.

Pruitt was later pronounced dead by the Monroe County Coroner.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Tooley was the perpetrator.

Tooley was taken into custody by the Tompkinsville Police Department and charged with Murder (Domestic Violence,) reports WBKO.

Tooley is being held at the Barren County Detention Center.

CNN Settles Nick Sandmann $275M Lawsuit ‘Out Of Court’ For Undisclosed Amount – Report

COVINGTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — On Tuesday, local Covington, Kentucky station Fox19 reported that CNN has agreed to settle the suit brought by Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann.

The amount paid to the youngster was not disclosed but Sandmann had filed a $275 million lawsuit against the news media giant.

“The amount of the settlement was not made public during a hearing at the federal courthouse in Covington, Kentucky,” reports CNSNews.

Sandmann’s suits against The Washington Post and NBC Universal regarding their coverage of the same incident are still pending.
