Author Stephen King On Republican Train Crash “They Call That Karma”

Many folks following iconic horror author Stephen King on Twitter hit the unfollow button after he posted a tweet making fun of the fatal West Virginia Republican retreat train accident.

On Thursday the IT author posted a trainwreck of a tweet saying that as far as the deadly crash was concerned, the GOP had it coming.

King fired off the thoughtless tweet making light of the fatal West Virginia accident where a train carrying dozens of members of Congress, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, hit a truck on the way to a Republican retreat.

“A trainload of Republicans on their way to a pricey retreat hit a garbage truck. My friend Russ calls that karma,” snarked King on Twitter.

After a few moments living with his disgraceful tweet, King again tweeted, this time acknowledging the fact that someone had actually lost their life in the crash.

“Of COURSE sorry the truck driver died,” King said in damage control mode.

Then a few hours later, and after receiving a trainload of backlash, King apologised for the offending quip.

“A rather thoughtless tweet from me concerning the train-truck crash, for which I apologize (if one is necessary). It should be pointed out, too, that those Republican politicians, who can be heartless when they vote, immediately got out to help,” King conceded.

Many on social media are calling for the scream author to delete the heartless post in question, however, as of the time of this writing, King had opted to keep the despicable tweet.
