Miss California Carrie Prejean ‘Here to protect marriage’

On the Today show, Miss California, Carrie Prejean told a half-gay, Matt Lauer, “I was attacked for giving my own opinion on the stage of the Miss USA contest. And I’m going to do whatever it takes to protect marriage. It’s something that is very dear to my heart.”

Prejean may be on a mission to protect marriage, however, she may have been on something else when she posed for very racy pictures at the tender age of 17. In the photo released, we see Prejean with her back to the camera and showing some heavy side boobie action.

I think the main reason Prejean is running in to trouble is that she has an opinion in the first place, why can she just parade around and look hot? Do we really need a beauty pageant winner telling us who can and can not get married? I know people that let their dogs get married! (My dog Bert is married to a stuffed pig.) Who cares? No matter what was written, I can’t believe Jesus would have objected to two people in love, bonding in matrimony, holy or otherwise.

In a statement released by Prejean she says, (cue the Star Spangled Banner) “We live in a great country; a nation that was built on freedom of speech and freedom of religion,” she said in the statement. “Yet my comments defending traditional marriage have led to intimidation tactics that seek to undermine my reputation and somehow silence me and my beliefs, as if opinion is only a one-way street.”

Didn’t Perjean get the memo that a huge number of people living alternative lifestyles actually run the damn entertainment business? Hello? Maybe this is why the media is coming down on you so hard? Maybe this is why someone planted Perez Hilton to ask you that faithful question that cost you your crown?
Honestly, I think it’s time Carrie Prejean marry Joe the plumber, then then her initials will be CPP.
