TX Man Rashaad Coleman ID’d As Rider In Thursday Beaumont Fatal Motorcycle Crash

BEAUMONT, TX. (THECOUNT) — Rashaad Coleman, of Beaumont, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash early Thursday morning along Calder Avenue in Beaumont, according to authorities. Coleman was 42.

The single-vehicle collision occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the 5800 block of Calder Avenue in Beaumont, located in Southeast Texas near the Louisiana state line.

According to the Beaumont Police Department, officers responded to reports of a motorcycle crash involving a tree along the roadway.

Investigators said preliminary findings indicate Coleman was operating the motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he lost control.

Authorities said the motorcycle subsequently left the roadway and struck a tree.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash scene and located Coleman suffering from serious injuries.

First responders rendered aid before Coleman was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Despite lifesaving efforts, Coleman later succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.

Officials have not publicly released the exact time he was pronounced dead.

Online records show Coleman resided in Beaumont.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to investigators.

Authorities have not publicly stated whether Coleman was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The Beaumont Police Department said the investigation remains in its early stages.

Crash investigators continued examining the scene Thursday morning as evidence was documented and the motorcycle was removed from the roadway.

The fatal crash remains under active investigation by the Beaumont Police Department.
