GA Man Nathan Meyer Charged In Tuesday Gainesville Crash That Killed Steven Cullen

HALL COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Steven Patrick Cullen has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash Tuesday morning in Hall County, Georgia, according to authorities. Nathan Michael Meyer, 25, of Warner Robins, has been identified as the involved driver charged with second-degree homicide by vehicle.

Cullen was 27.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 7:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, to the intersection of Georgia 365, also known as Cornelia Highway, and White Sulphur Road in Gainesville for a reported collision involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Investigators say Cullen, a resident of Toccoa, was traveling southbound on a 2026 Honda CBR650 motorcycle when the crash occurred.

Authorities said a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck operated by Meyer was traveling northbound on Georgia 365. Meyer entered a turn lane and attempted to make a left turn onto White Sulphur Road but failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

The pickup then collided with Cullen’s motorcycle in the intersection, resulting in fatal injuries to the rider. Cullen was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding personnel.

Meyer and a passenger in the truck were not injured in the crash.

Following the investigation at the scene, deputies placed Meyer under arrest. He was charged with second-degree homicide by vehicle and failure to yield while turning left, both misdemeanor offenses under Georgia law.

Meyer was transported to the Hall County Jail, where he was booked. Authorities said he later posted a bond set at $16,830 and was released Tuesday night.

The crash occurred at a heavily traveled intersection in Hall County, located in northeastern Georgia, where Georgia 365 serves as a major north-south corridor connecting communities in the region.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident. Officials have not released additional details regarding contributing factors beyond the initial findings.

Anyone with information related to the crash is encouraged to contact the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
