KUANTAN, MY. (THECOUNT) — Khairul Azman Zainuddin has been identified as the Channel NewsAsia cameraman killed in a Sunday motorcycle crash in Malaysia.
Zainuddin, 45, was fatally injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Kuala Lumpur-Karak, Bentong on Sunday.
According to Bentong district police chief Zaiham Mohd Kahar, Zainuddin was on his way to Kuala Lumpur when he had the accident, sustaining severe head injuries, and dying at the scene.
“The victim is believed to have lost control of his motorcycle and hit the road divider before being thrown onto the opposite lane, and was then hit by a motorcycle on that lane,” he said in a statement here today.
The rider and a passenger on the other involved motorcycle suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
