LOWNDES COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Michael Jacob Stevenson, 23, of Missouri City, Texas, and Meichele R. Parker, 52, of Greenville, Alabama, have been identified as the victims in a Wednesday night double-fatal wrong-way vehicle crash in Lowndes County.
Stevenson, 23, and 52-year-old Parker, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Letohatchee Wednesday night.
According to reports, Stevenson was operating a Hyundai Veracruz on Interstate 65 in Letohatchee, when Hyundai was struck head-on by a Ford Expedition, operated by parker around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
It is unknown why Parker was driving the wrong-way.
Both Stevenson and Parker were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
