PORTSMOUTH, VA. (THECOUNT) — Shaunte Patrice Ward, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday morning vehicle crash near Portsmouth.
Ward, 39, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Portsmouth early Saturday morning.
According to reports, Ward was operating a vehicle on Interstate 264 near Greenwood Drive in Portsmouth, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 2 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Ward was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
