KERSHAW COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Ned Wymer, of Elgin, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday morning motorcycle crash in Kershaw County.
Wymer, 72, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a vehicle near Lugoff on Thursday morning.
According to reports, Wymer was operating a Harley Davidson Trike, when the trike was rear-ended by a vehicle in the area of Hwy 1 and Longtown Road in Lugoff around 9 a.m. Thursday.
A passenger on the trike was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Wymer was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was transported with minor injuries.
It is unclear if anyone was cited in the collision or if any charges are pending.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
