Elden Shannon Muncy has been named as the man arrested Monday evening in the shooting deaths of two Lawrence County residents, Kentucky State Police say.
Muncy, 21, is charged with two counts of murder in the shooting deaths of Randy Sherman Blevins, 35, and Mary Evans-Smith, 50. Muncy and the two victims knew each other, according to authorities.
The shootings happened late Sunday night-early Monday morning in the 6300 block of Yellow Creek Road in Louisa.
Troopers say 911 received a call just after midnight from a woman who told them a man showed up to her house asking for help because he had been shot. source
“I called her up and she told me, ‘yes, he’s laying out here on the porch area, the side there in front of my camper’ and she said he hollered when he come over there after being shot,” neighbor, Gloria Hammond told WSAZ.
The man died before troopers arrived on scene.
When troopers went into the woman’s neighbor’s house, they found a woman inside who had been shot and killed.
Muncy is being held without bond.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.
