Bob Dylan to Voice GPS System?

    The stoplights, they are a-changin

    The stoplights, they are a-changin'

Imagine driving along in your car, in desperate need of directions, when the voice of a generation comes on and tells you to take a left. That scenario may soon become a reality. You see, rocker Bob Dylan says that he’s in talks to lend his legendary voice to automobile navigation systems. I’d listen to Bob Dylan read a phone book so I’m an easy sell but isn’t that a pretty genius idea?

Speaking to the Theme Time Radio Hour over on the BBC, Dylan said: “I think it would be good if you are looking for directions and you heard my voice saying something like, ‘Left at the next street…. No, right… You know what? Just go straight.” Nice to see he’s got a good sense of humor about the idea.

Dylan says he’s seriously considering the proposal. Apparently, he’s not the only celebrity comfortable with recording for GPS systems. Turns out that you can already get Homer Simpson, John Cleese and Mr. T to guide you.

Me, I’d like to see Christopher Walken do one of these things. Why? Because, admit it, his voice makes everything better.

New Jersey Cops Mistake Bob Dylan for Homeless Person

    everybody must get homes

    everybody must get homes

On tour in New Jersey, Bob Dylan was house hunting when over zealous cops approached him. Dylan was asked his name and apparently the 24-year-old police officer, Kristie Buble, did not believe him.

Officer Buble is now enjoying a few minutes of fame after hassling Dylan who was simply walking around looking at homes for sale in the area.

Speaking to ABC, Buble had this to say of her encounter with Dylan, “We got a call for a suspicious person, it was pouring rain outside, and I was right around the corner so I responded. By that time he was walking down the street. I asked him what he was doing in the neighborhood and he said he was looking at a house for sale. I asked him what his name was and he said, ‘Bob Dylan,’ now, I’ve seen pictures of Bob Dylan from a long time ago and he didn’t look like Bob Dylan to me at all. He was wearing black sweatpants tucked into black rain boots, and two raincoats with the hood pulled down over his head. So I said, ‘OK Bob, what are you doing in Long Branch?’ He said he was touring the country with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp. So now I’m really a little fishy about his story. I did not know what to believe or where he was coming from, or even who he was. We see a lot of people on our beat, and I wasn’t sure if he came from one of our hospitals or something. He was acting very suspicious, not delusional, just suspicious. You know, it was pouring rain and everything.”
