The battle ended with a $45 Million settlement for Conan O’Brien to leave his early spot, and to give it back to Jay Leno.

Another crappy thing is that Conan can’t work on any other show until SEPTEMBER! The NBC statement said he would be free to work elsewhere “as soon as September”.

That’s insane. I salute him for standing up for his staff and getting them money too. Yahoo said he was only getting 2.6m viewers. Thats with a studio and staff of 200. Some of the popular personalities on YT can pull 1m viewers by themselves.
I’d like to see him become a free agent and make his own media. The only other person I know who did this is Adam Carolla. Can you think of others?
