IZARD COUNTY, AR. (THECOUNT) — Izard County, Arkansas Deputy Sean Hunt, has been identified as the victim in a Thursday fatal vehicle crash.
According to a department news release, Deputy Hunt died in an off-duty crash on Thursday, Feb. 16.

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the tragic news of the passing of Deputy Sean Hunt as a result of an off-duty vehicle accident on February 16, 2023.
Deputy Hunt went to work as a deputy for Izard County in August 2021. He was a loving father, fiancé, son, friend, deputy, and co-worker.”
Arkansas State Police have not yet released the preliminary fatal crash report.
