Highway 960 is a rural roadway serving portions of East Feliciana Parish north of Baton Rouge. Curved two-lane highways throughout the region can present hazardous driving conditions during overnight and early morning hours, particularly in areas with limited lighting and narrow shoulders.
Single-vehicle crashes involving roadway departures frequently require investigators to examine speed, visibility conditions, driver response, mechanical issues, and roadway geometry as part of reconstruction efforts.
Emergency responders temporarily secured the crash area Saturday morning while troopers documented evidence and processed the scene.
The Louisiana State Police confirmed the investigation remains active and ongoing.
