LEHIGH COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Margaret Rice, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday vehicle crash in Lehigh County.
“Maggie” Rice, 66, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Allentown Thursday evening.
According to reports, Rice was operating a vehicle on Lehigh Street near Wyoming Street in Allentown, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 4 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole.
Rice was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
