HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Former Patriots wide receiver Reche Caldwell was shot and killed Saturday in Hillsborough County, Florida.
Caldwell, 41, had returned to his Tampa home to retrieve a jacket before going on date with his girlfriend when he was ambushed, according to reports.

The gunmen opened fire on Caldwell striking him in the leg and chest.
Reche Caldwell was was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries while being transported to an area hospital.
Caldwell’s last address is listed as, 10144 Arbor Run Dr, Unit 142 in Tampa.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
