PORTLAND, ME. (THECOUNT) — Pattie Gallant, the Maine mother who made headlines after pleading for the public’s help in locating a pendant containing her deceased son’s ashes, now says she has located the item in the pocket of a sweater.
Gallant says she found the necklace that contained some of the ashes of her son after it went missing about a month ago. Evan Gallant, died of a rare form of cancer at the age of 21 in 2017.

Gallant said she wore the sweater Wednesday, and while talking to one of her son’s best friends, she felt something deep in the corner of a pocket on the sweater.
It turned out to be the necklace, which is a silver chain with a dragonfly that contains some of her son’s ashes and a pendant with Evan’s fingerprint that her dad wore until he died, reports WMTW.
Gallant said she has no idea how the necklace ended up in the sweater. She said she hadn’t worn it since well before losing the necklace.
