FAYETTEVILLE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Jessica Denise Durham, of Fayetteville, NC, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Wednesday, according to the Fayetteville Police Department Thursday morning.

Durham, 63, died Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle operated by 39-year-old Victor Moore, of Dunn, NC.

According to reports, Durham was on-foot in the area of Campbell Avenue & Alfred Street in Fayetteville Wednesday evening around 6:50 p.m. when she was fatally struck by a Pontiac G6.

Durham was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash and the events leading up to it remain under investigation, reports FayObserver.
