HUDDERSFIELD, UK. (THECOUNT) — Oldham teenager, Najeebullah Nekzad, has been identified as the body found inside a vehicle abandoned on New Hey Road, in Huddersfield on Saturday morning.
The body of Nekzad, 19, was discovered by a PCSO inside a Fiat Punto parked on New Hey Road near Scammonden Saturday morning.
The coroner said the teen “died from neck injuries,” the Huddersfield Examiner reports .
Investigators say they are currently treating Nekzad’s death as “unexplained.”
West Yorkshire Police confirmed on Monday that two men from Manchester, one aged 35 and other 18, had been arrested in connection with the incident, reports ManchesterEveningNews.
The pair remain in custody as of Sunday.
Police believe the vehicle had been at the location – near the old Nont Sarahs Hotel – for several days before the young man was found.
Det Supt Pat Twiggs from the Protective Services (Crime) team, urged anyone with information to come forward.
