UNION TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — Cindy Perry of Buckeye Lake, Ohio and 47-year-old John Rodela Jr., have been identified as the victims killed in a double-fatal crash in Union Twp., Ohio on Wednesday night.
Ryan Oppenheimer, 37, of Columbus, Ohio, was traveling on Hebron Rd near Ridgely Tract Rd SE in Union Township, OH, when for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines and struck the vehicle of 59-year-old Perry, which was traveling in the opposite direction around 8:30 pm Wednesday.
Perry and her passenger, Rodela, were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the head-on collision.
Oppenheimer’s condition was not provided.
The Highway Patrol says drugs are suspected as a factor in the violent crash, reported WHIZ.
It is unclear if anyone was cited at the scene.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
