Following $5k Reward Offer, NC Woman Alyssa Marie Angus Charged In Hit-And-Run That Seriously Injured Wilmington Bartender Last Month

WILMINGTON, NC. (THECOUNT) — Alyssa Marie Angus has been identified by the Wilmington Police the woman sought in a hit-and-run collision in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, last month that seriously injured popular Wilmington bartender, Justin Sartain.

Police say they have issued warrants for 27-year-old Angus, after multiple people came forward this week with information in the hit-and-run. Angus, of Hampstead, is charged with hit and run causing serious injury, failure to yield causing serious injury and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Police say a vehicle struck Sartain at the intersection of South 3rd ST and Dock ST, Wilmington, NC, around 8 p.m. Feb. 23 as he walked to his job as a bartender.

Police say Sartain had the right of way and was midway through the intersection when Angus plowed into him, throwing him into the air and onto the top of the vehicle.

He rolled off the hood of the car and into the street. As he was in the street, the car took off running over him, shattering his lower extremities.

Yesterday Crime Stoppers announced a $5,000 reward in the case. There’s no word on if anyone will get the money, reports WWAYTV3.
