SALT LAKE CITY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Michael Rueckert, of Stansbury Park, Utah, has been identified as the victim in a fatal skiing accident at Brighton Ski Resort Monday.
Rueckert, 63, was skiing at Brighton Monday when he lost control and collided with a tree.
Police said Rueckert was skiing when the fatal accident occurred. Witnesses told police the man “lost control when he avoided a stopped skier and went on to hit a tree.” source
Brighton Resort is located on South Brighton Loop Road, in Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT, which is about 30 miles (48 km) from downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
No further details about the fatal incident were immediately provided by officials.
