Two Ted Cruz Campaign Staffers Sent To Hospital After Coming In Contact With “White Powdery Substance” Opening Mail

HOUSTON, TX. (THECOUNT) — Two people exposed to a “white powdery substance” delivered to Senator Ted Cruz‘ campaign office have been hospitalized according to the Houston Fire department.

The suspicious mail was delivered to Cruz’ Houston campaign office at 3200 Southwest Freeway, in Houston, TX. Authorities evacuated the ninth floor of the Phoenix Tower.

All tests were negative for any hazardous substance, fire officials tweeted.

The frightening event comes on the same day the Pentagon announced they received ricin contained within an envelope sent to their mail facility.
