MOBILE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Mitchell Obrian Lofton has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash near Citronelle Sunday morning.
Mitch Lofton, 26, was killed and two others injured following a head-on wreck in northern Mobile County Sunday, according to officials.
Investigators said, Lofton was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Aveo north on Celeste Road, when for unknown reasons, crossed center lines and crashed head-on with a 2012 Ram pickup.
The driver of the truck was later identified as 65-year-old Andrew Newburn, and his passenger, 63-year-old Jeanette Newburn. Both were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Their conditions were not immediately provided.
Alabama State Troopers and local rescue workers from Turnerville Volunteer Fire Department were called around 3:45 a.m. to Celeste Road just north of Henry Davis Road near Citronelle. source
Lofton was pronounced dead at the scene.
