EVERETT TOWNSHIP, MI. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Bourassa, of White Cloud, MI., has been identified as the victim in a fatal Newaygo County crash Sunday morning.
“Dan” Bourassa, whose age was not provided, was named by the Michigan State Police as the man killed in a deadly crash in Newaygo, Everett Township.
The crash occurred around 12:35 a.m. Sunday on Walnut Avenue north of 40th Street, Newaygo, Everett Township, MI.
Police say the investigation revealed that Daniel Bourassa of White Cloud failed to negotiate a curve and drove his vehicle off the roadway and hit a tree, causing the vehicle to overturn. source
Upon arrival first responders found Bourassa trapped inside the vehicle. Rescuers implemented the Jaws Of Life in an effort to remove him.
He was extricated from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe speed and alcohol may have been factors.
The crash is still under investigation.
