President Donald Trump is skipping the White House Correspondents’ Association gala, taking the steam out of an already endangered species. President Trump will instead mark his 100th day in office with his Pennsylvania supporters in what promises to be another massive rally.
The ritzy event, meant in honor of the wildly unpopular mainstream presscore, will feature Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. Woodward, speaking to reporters said he would be focusing on, “the First Amendment and the importance of aggressive but fair reporting.”
Hasan Minhaj of “The Daily Show,” will serve as this year’s Nerd Ball Master of Ceremonies. Broadcast coverage will begin tonight at 9:30 p.m. EST on C-SPAN, followed by corresponding event thrown by Comedy Central’s Samantha Bee airing on TBS at 10 p.m.
