SALT LAKE COUNTY, UT. (THECOUNT) — The Utah House legislature has joined the Senate in passing a bill on Friday that will now terminate the mask mandate enacted for Salt Lake and Summit Counties, abc4 is reporting.
In a 45 to 29 vote, the Legislature passed a joint resolution that will immediately terminate mask mandates in Salt Lake and Summit Counties.

Just three days ago, the Senate passed the bill, otherwise known as SJR3 in a 22-5 vote, notes abc4.
The legislature has passed this bill after Salt Lake and Summit County issued a mandatory indoor mask mandate amid a nationwide surge.
