NEW YORK, NY. (THECOUNT) — 18-Year-Old Upcoming NY Drill rap star, Kay Flock, has been identified as the suspect arrested on murder charges after allegedly fatally shooting a 24-year-old man outside harlem barbershop on December 16.

Flock, real name is Kay Roy, was taken into custody Christmas Eve after Oscar Hernandez was fatally shot outside a Harlem barbershop in mid-December.

According to reports, Hernandez was inside the barbershop, located near Amsterdam Ave and West 151st Street, when Roy opened the door and asked him what he was “looking at,” sources said.

Hernandez stepped outside and the gunman opened fire, shooting him in the neck and back, sources said.

Medics transported Hernandez to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

An NYPD spokesman couldn’t say Thursday if Hernandez and the shooter were acquaintances.

Flock was reportedly in juvenile detention in early 2020. He is known for his drill music based out of Bronx. Flock shot to fame with his song on the instrumental for 22Gz’s ‘Blixky Gang Freestyle’. He then dropped songs like ‘Opp Spotter’ with his childhood friend B-Lovee, ‘Brotherly Love’, ‘PSA’, ‘Being Honest’ and ‘Is Ya Ready’ among a few others. Flock dropped his debut project in November 2021 called ‘The D.O.A. Tape’ where he managed to tap G Herbo on the remix of ‘Being Honest’. He was also featured on Lil Tjay’s single, ‘Not In The Mood’ featuring Fivio Foreign that peaked at number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking his first time on the chart, reports meaww.
