LINCOLN COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Paris R. Pierpont, of Jefferson, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a Sunday night vehicle crash in Lincoln County.
Pierpont, 17, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Edgecomb Sunday night.

According to reports, Pierpont was operating a vehicle on River Road in Edgecomb, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a utility pole and a tree.
Pierpont was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
