ASCENSION PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Mason Pusey, of St. Amant, Louisiana, has been identified as the teenage victim in a fatal Tuesday night vehicle crash in Ascension Parish.
Pusey, 17, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Garyville Tuesday night.

According to reports, Pusey was operating a Honda Accord on Interstate 10 near LA Highway 641, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Pusey was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
