UNION COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Shawn Palmer, of Englewood, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night motorcycle crash in Union County.
Palmer, 50, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash near Elizabeth Saturday night.

According to reports, Palmer was operating a motorcycle on the New Jersey Turnpike, when for unknown reasons, the bike came into contact with a concrete barrier. The rider was ejected from the bike during the collision. The motorcycle then traveled into the path of a box truck in the area of exit 13 around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Palmer was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The operator of the truck was uninjured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
