BEAUMONT, TX. (THECOUNT) — Raymond Avery Ford, of Beaumont, Texas, has been identified as the suspect accused of the murder of his teenage sister-in-law, Valerie Jacob King, Tuesday night.

Ford, 28, was taken into custody as police investigate a fatal shooting of 19-year-old King in Beaumont Tuesday night.

According to officials, police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 4300 South 4th Street around 11 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, King was found suffering from gunshot injuries.

Investigators believe Ford shot King during a family disturbance. He was taken into custody with further incident.

His bond is set at $1 million.

A Beaumont man, with with same name as the suspect, was forced to post to Facebook to inform friends and family members that he was not involved nor related to the victim in the fatal incident:
