ATLANTA, GA. (THECOUNT) — Three individuals were killed in a shooting and subsequent vehicle crash early Saturday morning in the Atlanta, Georgia area of South Fulton.

Three people were discovered suffering from gunshot injuries in South Fulton overnight, one on the street and two others in a crashed vehicle early Saturday.

According to officials, officers responded to the 6600 block of Hidden Brook Trail shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday on reports of shots fired.

When police arrived, a male victim was found lying in the street with apparent gunshot wounds. That victim was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

“Two additional victims were located in the overturned vehicle who were also suffering from gunshot wounds,” officials said.

“These victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment with life-threatening injuries and have been pronounced deceased, reports AJC.

”Investigators believe the victims came to a home on Hiddenbrook Trail to visit with someone. During that visit, an altercation ensued, “leading to an exchange of gunfire between all parties,” Rogers said.

The case is still under investigation and no other information has been released.
